After all the instructors have accomplished the 2010 AHA Instructor Update from the AHA Instructor Network Website (BLS, ACLS, and PALS), we immediately started the new guidelines for BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS with the help of the AHA interim materials.
We were fortunate enough to have copies of the new 2010 AHA provider and instructor materials for BLS and the 2010 Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Handbook which was distributed over a month ago, and we will start implenting the use of these books on our late April training. The new BLS training materials include the new training DVD/video, instructor manuals, and packet guides.
We also plan to use the 2010 AHA ACLS Provider Manual and training video as soon as it is made available. The new materials for ACLS is expected to be released on May 2011.
